Wuhan Ya Dong Cement Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) was established by Asia Cement Corporation and Ya DongOriental Holding Co., Ltd., with a total investment of US$66.5 million. It is located in Wujiashan Taiwan Businessmen Investment Zone, Dongxi Lake, Wuhan City. The Company is principally engaged in the production and sale of cement, slag micro powder and other building materials. Construction was carried out in three phases, and was completed with production commencement in June 2001, September 2003, and August 2005 respectively. The Company’s current annual cement capacity was 2.3 million tonnes. All the high-grade cement products produced by the Company were well received in various parts of Hubei Province. The Company’s cement was used in major projects in Wuhan City, such as Wuhan International Conference and Exhibition Center, light rail and Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge. The Company has passed the ISO9001 quality management system attestation in December 2002, and won an Overall Excellence Award at the 10th National Cement Quality Competition in 2005.
